Consultation
Before we begin creating your outfit, every client is required to book a consultation. This step ensures that we fully understand your vision, style preferences, fabric choices, and event needs. Consultations may be held virtually (online) or in person at our studio.
A consultation fee applies, as outlined in our Price Guide, and this confirms your booking with Marvelkay Designs. During this session, you’ll also receive a custom fashion illustration crafted exclusively for you after meeting with our Creative Director. Please note that we do not replicate other designers’ work — every piece is uniquely designed to reflect your individuality.
Deposit & Payment Policy
To begin the production process, we require a non-refundable deposit of 80% of the total cost. This secures your order and covers fabric sourcing, sketching, and initial tailoring. Clients who book months in advance are also required to pay this deposit to reserve their production slot and avoid overbooking.
The remaining 20% balance is due upon completion of the garment. Full payment must be received before pickup or worldwide delivery. Once production has begun, all payments become non-refundable, as each design is tailored specifically for you.
Production Time
Our standard production timeline is a minimum of 4 weeks, depending on the complexity and style of the garment. Orders with multiple outfits or highly detailed designs may require additional time.
If you need your order sooner, we offer Rush Orders (expedited production) at an additional fee of 30% of the total cost. Availability for rush orders depends on our current schedule.
Fittings
- On-site clients are entitled to one fitting session at our studio.
- Virtual clients will receive a preview video of their garment in its skeleton stage before final design details are added.
We recommend fittings or virtual previews before embellishments, accessories, or final finishes are applied, ensuring the best possible result.
Alterations & Changes
For online clients, we conduct a second scheduled measurement session to re-confirm your body measurements before final shipment. This ensures accuracy and minimizes the need for major adjustments after delivery.
Measurements for Out-of-Town Clients
Accurate body measurements are required for every order. For clients who cannot visit in person, we offer virtual measurement sessions via video call.

Pick-Up & Delivery
Local Delivery (Nigeria): Doorstep delivery through trusted logistics partners. Charges vary by destination and weight.
International Delivery: We partner with DHL for secure worldwide shipping. Estimated delivery time: 4–14 business days, depending on your location.
Studio Pickup: Available for clients who prefer to collect their outfits in person.
